Looking through the different charts of rap music online, I could tell which ones were the current top 100 rap songs people were diggin’ on an international scale. These jams are this week’s most popular rap songs that have been ranked by mainstream R & B/ hip hop and rhythmic radio airplay audience impressions as measured by Neilsen BDS.

For the number one, it’s no wonder that the current favourite is B.o.B ft. Bruno Mars’ Nothin’ On You.  This track is infectious! With its dope video and catchy chorus, I agree that this one should be on top right now. And it don’t hurt that Bruno Mars is kind of a hottie.

Timabaland’s Say Something is also in the top 100. He’s the man so I pretty much already expected one of his singles on the chart. Ludacris has 2 tracks (My Chick Bad and How Low) in the top 100. Nothing unusual for our boy Luda. T.I.; the King of the South is back with his track, efficiently titled I’m Back. This song is pretty tight. Seems like he’s convincing everybody to forget about his incarceration or is it only me?

Anyway, Lil Wayne’s Steady Mobbin’ that features Gucci Mane is hella tight. I can’t wait for this track to climb to number one for real. And how much of a g can Lil Wayne get haha?

Browsing the other tracks on the current top 100 rap songs chart, I see a couple of names that surprised me a little but it’s all good ‘coz that’s the way this rap game goes. It’s good to see Jay- Z and Alicia keys’s  Empire State of Mind keepin itself fresh on the charts. I’ve had this song on repeat for a couple of weeks now and I still haven’t gotten sick of it.

Good thing hip hop heads aren’t really considering Justin Beiber as a rap artist just yet or the charts would be flooded with his candy ass music. But he’s a kid so it is understandable.

All in all, the current top 100 rap songs are lookin’ on the up and up so good job to the chart toppers.  And to the ones slowly falling off the sweet rhythm of airplay – better luck next time.
